I am a former reader. In Middle School, I used to read frequently and enjoyed the books that I read. I like the idea of being able to illustrate the story in my mind the way I want it to be. You can personalize the book by picturing how the characters look and what the setting looks like. I chose the former identity because it best describes me as a reader. I mainly read in Middle School because I was required to, but I still liked it. I truly believe books are like a TV in your mind because you, as the reader, absorb the story in a distinctive way. But now, I do not read as much. I do not read personally anymore, and only read for school. I am reading The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin: http://www.amazon.com/Westing-Game-Ellen-Raskin/dp/0140386645. I chose this book because it is the kind of book that draws me in. The Westing Game is a murder mystery book- my favorite genre. When I sit down and read a mystery book, I never want to stop reading. And every time I decide to stop, it leaves me at a cliffhanger. I like when a book does this because it forces me to read. The best part of reading this book is the plot. This book is about the death of a millionaire company owner. In the will of this wealthy man, it states names of unrelated heirs that are brought together to discover the murderer of the millionaire by clues that are hidden in the will. But the best part is... the murderer is one of the random heirs. All the heirs got partnered up, and each of them got a clue. I look forward to how the heirs unravel the mystery, and obviously the result. I read this book with total interest and attentiveness. Every detail matters and is fun to try to unravel the mystery for yourself before the author tells you. I am enjoying reading this book.
