The Hunger Games

I would describe myself as a reluctant reader and I have not read for fun in a very long time. I get bored when I read and it is very easy for me to put a book down. My personal choice reading book is The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. This book is about a girl, named Katniss, her friend Gale, and her sister, Prim. These people all live in the Panem and they live in District 12. The reader learns about an event called the reading, but the reader does not find out what this event is. Every year a boy and a girl from each district are chosen to take part in The Hunger Games. At the lottery for The Hunger Games Katniss’s younger sister got chosen to take part in The Hunger Games. I chose to read this book because I have heard from various people that it is a great book. When I first started reading the book I was very interested in it because the plot was great. The author left me wanting to know what was going to happen next. The book has a lot of action type scenes and although it is not something that I can connect to, it still is very interesting. As I continue reading the book I look forward to finding out what the reading is and exactly what The Hunger Games are and finding out what happens to Prim, Katniss’s sister, during the games.
